Australian web host
Digital Pacific has acquired Crucial, another Australia-based hosting provider. The company, which has headquarters in Sydney, New South Wales, offers a range of services including shared, VPS and dedicated hosting options alongside domain registration services. The fully Australian-owned organization caters to enterprise customers of a range of sizes and provides “true 24/7 Australia-based support”.
Digital Pacific’s acquisition of Crucial brings together two of the continents leading providers, both of which pride themselves on customer focus. The company does not plan to change operations as a result of the acquisition, meaning both companies’ customers will enjoy a disruption-free transition.
Together Digital Pacific and Crucial will employee a total of 70 people and have the potential to dominate the Australian hosting market. The two companies offer similar services, cater to a similar market, and have similar business cultures. Crucial, whose services also include reseller hosting and SSL certificate options, is also based in Sydney, Australia. Together the two companies promise to offer significant value to customers.
“Our team is very excited for the two businesses to come together,” explained Andrew Koloadin, the CEO and Founder of Digital Pacific. “Our stories are quite similar, both starting in small Bondi apartments over 12 years ago growing to the established brands we are today. This has fostered very similar, customer-focused cultures at both organizations.”
