Australian web host
VentraIP has acquired IntaServe - another web host based in Queensland, Australia. The company, whose headquarters are in Narre Warren, Victoria, Australia, offers services that range from email and hosting to Virtual Private Servers, domain registration, and SSL certificates. The acquisition underscores the company's aggressive expansion plans - it has made three similar acquisitions over as many months. The latest acquisition comes on the heels of the company buying 9Web (a web host) and GoDedicated (a co-location and dedicated server company).
IntaServe caters to a broad customer base and manages some 15,000 accounts. VentraIP intends to transition these accounts to its Dell-based cloud infrastructure. IntaServe’s free hosting service will cease to exist once the transition takes place. After its purchase of GoDedicated VentraIP had around 75,000 customers. Its latest purchase puts the company firmly into the realm of being one of Australia’s biggest providers. It grew 57% in 2014 and generated $4 million in revenue. Purchasing IntaServe will add AUD$1.4 million ($1.05) to its annual income.
“As our largest transaction to date, the acquisition of IntaServe will add more than $1.4M in annualized revenue to our balance sheet and represents another milestone in our history that delivers a strong message to the market that says we are ready and able to make more sizable transactions of this nature going forward”, explained Angelo Giuffrida, the CEO of VentraIP on the company's website. “We will also realize immediate cost benefits by transferring the existing customers to our DELL cloud infrastructure and removing most of the existing operational costs from the business".
