Bandwidth Infrastructure Services Provider Zayo Group Has Acquired Data Center Provider CoreXchange
Bandwidth infrastructure services provider Zayo Group has acquired data center provider CoreXchange. Financial details were not released.

The Boulder, Colorado, company offers Bandwidth Infrastructure services in the US, Europe and a number of other markets. It also offers customers a range of managed services including dark fiber products and wireline and wireless services. With a 77,000 route mile network, the company also caters to government agencies, data centers, Internet content providers, and high-bandwidth enterprises. Dallas, Texas-based CoreXchange, Inc. is a data center, bandwidth and managed services provider.

Zayo Group’s purchase means the company now has data centers in 27 locations and becomes the owner of ColoUnlimited, CoreXchange’s online colocation sales and ordering service. CoreXchange will ultimately intergrate ColoUnlimited into Tranzact, its Internet Portal. The addition of CoreXchange facilities to Zayo Group’s footprint enables it to provide “colocation alternatives” to customers, which include carriers, content providers and enterprise customers.

“Dallas is one of the world’s leading corporate headquarter hubs and has seen tremendous growth in the high tech and energy fields,” explained Zayo Group’s President Chris Morley. “Expanding the zColo (Zayo Group) footprint not only provides more alternatives for colocation in the Dallas market, but provides easier access for customers to tap into Zayo’s international Bandwidth Infrastructure footprint.”
