IBM – traditionally know as ‘Big Blue’ – and IT services provider CSC
have partnered on hybrid cloud activity. IBM, whose headquarters are in Armonk, North Castle, New York, United States, is a globally recognized brand with business activity that ranges from hardware to the cloud. It has transitioned into a cloud player in recent years and is noted for its ‘Watson’ AI solution which underpins its ‘Big Data’ activity. The partnership will enable CSC’s customers to use the IBM Cloud as part of the company’s CSC Agility Platform.
CSC has its American headquarters in Falls Church, Virginia, United States, but the company has a global presence with offices in Africa, South America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, and in the Middle East. The company’s partnership with IBM will see its CSC Agility Platform fully integrated with the IBM Cloud. This means its customers will have access to a wealth of IBM Cloud services in a hybrid multi-cloud environment. The company is currently training staff to design applications that are can leverage IBM’s APIs.
"The addition of IBM's cloud into the portfolio of clouds managed under CSC Agility Platform further validates our strategy of creating client value through the orchestration of multiple cloud platforms," explained the President and CEO of CSC Mike Lawrie in press release on the IBM website.
