IBM – often referred to as “Big Blue” – is to expand its business solutions activity with the introduction of a suite of cloud-based industry platforms. Established in 1911, the company - a world renowned global IT brand - has headquarters in Armonk, New York, United States. It has a strong association with computer hardware and software, but over recent years has become more associated with the cloud and projects like its ‘Watson’ artificial intelligence ‘big data’ solution. IBM’s new platforms will “deliver fast, simplified access to services that allow clients to exploit the opportunities of cloud and big data, and make their transformations with the assurance of predictable outcomes”.
To help initiate the project, IBM has announced the launch of an IBM Cloud Business Innovation Center in Bangalore, India. The center will give IBM customers the opportunity to “work side-by-side” with IBM solution consultants, researchers, and digital marketing experts, as well as benefit from design experts that can “personalize the industry platforms” to their specific requirements.
"Our portfolio of Cloud Business Solutions is a recognition of the mandate for speed and time to value, along with the requirement of clients to personalize business solutions to their own processes and culture and deploy them via the cloud," explained the Managing Partner, Cloud Consulting Services of IBM Global Business Services, Sanjay Rishi. "Our new IBM Cloud Business Innovation Center will help us co-create with our clients, addressing their unique needs with tailored solutions, delivered on the cloud for fast results."
