Big Blue Wins Signs Major New Deal
IBM - also known as "Big Blue" - has signed a major new deal with Coca-Cola’s European Partners (CCEP). With headquarters in Armonk, New York, United States, IBM is a globally recognized corporation that helps its clients “transform their industries” using solutions such as cloud, Artificial Intelligence (AI), blockchain, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Established in 1911, the company is currently “the largest technology and consulting employer in the world” with over 350,000 staff in 170 countries. It is widely recognized for the Watson AI platform. The “multi-year deal” deal sees IBM helping CCEP transition to an open hybrid cloud environment.

IBM will help CCEP achieve operational efficiency by reducing expenses and streamlining IT infrastructure. To do this the corporation will leverage its Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat Enterprise Linux solutions. IBM’s multi-cloud technology will enable CCEP to benefit from public and private clouds while running legacy systems “from the same dashboard”.

An enhanced IT infrastructure that leverages IoT, AI, and data analytics solutions will allow CCEP to make better business decisions and improve the quality of the services it offers customers. With competitors that include Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, and Amazon Web services (AWS), IBM gaining CCEP as a client represents a major vote of confidence in its hybrid cloud platform.
