Blake Irving Appointed CEO of Web Hosting, Domain Name Registration and SSL Certificates Provider Go Daddy
Mr. Blake Irving has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of web hosting, domain name registration and SSL certificates provider Go Daddy. Mr. Irving was previously Chief Product Officer at Yahoo! and also spent 15 years at Microsoft where he was most recently Corporate Vice President of the Windows Live Platform. At Microsoft he managed 4,000 employees involved in Microsoft's global online services and helped increase the number of Hotmail users from 7 million to 290 million.

Mr. Irving is a graduate of San Diego State University and has an MBA from Pepperdine University. He succeeds Scott Wagner and will take up the Chief Executive Officer position on January 7, 2013.

Mr. Irving's experience in the technology field saw him lead the development of new products and managing teams spread across the globe. His appointment is seen with Go Daddy’s intention for further expansion in mind. The company launched a range of new products recently which support its 11 million customer base, made up of mainly small businesses located both in the United States and around the world. The company has also made a number of key acquisitions recently, including cloud-based financial management application provider Outright.com. The company also partnered with DudaMobile on the launch of its new Website Builder for mobile websites.
