InfoLink has adopted the R1Soft Server Backup Manager (SBM) and improved revenues as a result, a recent case study has suggested. The company, which has headquarters in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, offers a range of products and services including web hosting, cloud services, network monitoring, and virtualization. Its adoption of SBM has resulted in a 40% increase in IaaS revenue, and a 20% increase in Disaster Recovery Services revenue.
R1Soft, which has headquarters in Houston, Texas, United States, was established in 2006. The company specializes in offering commercial backup software to web hosting providers. It bills SBM as “the fastest, most scalable server backup for both Windows and Linux platforms in private and public clouds”.
According to R1Soft’s case study, entitled “InfoLink Achieves 40 Percent Increase in IaaS Revenue with R1Soft Server Backup Manager”, the solution allows InfoLink to execute backups more successfully and allows it to fulfill the terms of its Service Level Agreements (SLAs) more easily. The solution provides a number of features including deduplication and a compression to minimize disk space usage, and it also enables InfoLink to manage support requests in a more timely fashion - the company now takes around “one third of the time that was required in the past” to perform this function.
“We’ve truly had the best possible experience with R1Soft with very few challenges or barriers to entry,” explained InfoLink’s IT Manager, Marcio Fernandes. “Today, we’re supporting 1,000 cloud servers with mission critical SLAs that demand low RTO (Recovery Time Objectives) and RPO (Recovery Point Objectives) – and we’re consistently seeing excellent results, whether we’re conducting individual file recovery or bare metal restores.”
