Award-winning British hybrid cloud and data center services provider
Node4 Ltd. (Node4) has acquired virtual private cloud provider Secura Cloud (Secura). Node4, which has headquarters in Derby, United Kingdom, was established in 2004. The company offers a broad range of services including cloud options alongside colocation, managed hosting, Microsoft and VMware options, and storage and data backup. “Dedicated to serving fast-growing businesses with the most effective and flexible application of technology”, Node4 has data centers in Derby, Leeds, Northampton and Reading in the United Kingdom. This is Node4’s fifth acquisition to date and, although financial aspects of the deal have not been released, it is also its most costly.
Node4’s acquisition of Secura underscores the company’s expansion strategy. The move strengthens its position in the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) market and adds 110 customers to the company’s books. VMware's VCPP ‘Cloud Partner of the Year 2019’, Secura has headquarters in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom and a presence in New Jersey, United States. The ISO 27001, ISO 9001 and ISO 20000 accredited-company is involved in ‘Critical Cloud Hosting’ and offers secure virtual private cloud hosting options that offer the scale, security and flexibility companies require to support their business applications. Secura customers also enjoy world-class service and ongoing technical support. Its customers will benefit from the acquisition as they will enjoy Node4's “wider range of services” and “enterprise grade infrastructure service”.
“We are delighted to welcome Secura to the Node4 family and look forward to working together to offer our customers a wider range of services,” explained the CEO of Node4 Andrew Gilbert. “We’ve worked hard to find a business that is aligned with us both strategically and culturally and believe that Secura ticks all the right boxes for us. As we look to continue to grow Node4, it is important to work with those who can complement our offerings, and this is being achieved by adding Secura’s services to our portfolio.”
“We are tremendously excited to be acquired by Node4,” added Ollie Beaton, the CEO of
Secura. “Node4 and Secura are a fantastic fit and we can see huge benefits for all our customers in the expanded range of solutions and expertise we can offer. Node4 has really exciting growth plans for the managed cloud hosting market and we’re delighted to be part of them.”
