M247 has acquired web host UK Web Solutions Direct. Financial details of the cash purchase were not released. This is the ninth time M247 has been involved in an acquisition over the last 10 years.
Established in 2001, UK Web.Solutions Direct offers a range of services alongside web hosting. These services include reseller hosting, managed VPS options, and managed servers.
M247 owns and manages two data centers in Trafford Park in Manchester, England. The company, which also has its headquarters in Manchester, offers “Internet infrastructure services” in Europe, and manages a European backbone that connects Manchester, London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Brussels, Paris, Prague, Budapest and Bucharest. It will absorb UK Web.Solutions Direct’s accounts and some 15,000 websites.
