British hosting provider
UKFast has partnered with hotel booking site LateRooms.com. UKFast, which has headquarters in Manchester in the North West of England, was established in 1999. The company specializes in a number of areas including web hosting, cloud hosting, colocation, dedicated servers, and managed hosting. Its partnership with LateRooms.com will cover a five-year period.
LateRooms.com also has headquarters in Manchester, United Kingdom and was also established in 1999. The company bills itself as “the UK’s leading hotel booking specialist”. A range of accommodation and holidays can be booked through LateRooms.com, including city breaks, romantic breaks, and business hotels. UKFast will support the development of LateRooms.com technology infrastructure. LateRooms.com will migrate from a colocation solution held with its current provider to a custom-built cloud-based solution, designed by UKFast in close consultation with LateRooms.com. The seamless migration will not impact customers in any fashion.
“The new platform gives us improved stability, higher availability and the ability to scale up while remaining cost effective. In short we can do a lot more, with less,” explained Stuart Taylor, LateRooms.com’s Head of IO. “Throughout the migration process there have been learnings on both sides. UKFast has been thoughtful and responsive to the challenges we faced during a migration that was constrained within tight timescales. Together we have created an amazing platform that is a true business enabler”.
