Canadian broadband services provider
TeraGo Inc. is to purchase Data Centers Canada Inc. through its subsidiary TeraGo Networks Inc. The two companies have entered into a share purchase agreement which will lead to Data Centers Canada Inc.'s acquisition at a price of approximately $9,500,000 paid in cash installments. Completion (subject to conditions) is likely May 31, 2013. Data Centers Canada Inc.'s operations and management team will remain with the company to manage transition.
TeraGo Networks Inc. offers a range of services to Canadian businesses including data, voice and "carrier-grade" broadband services. The company owns an IP network and operates in 46 Canadian markets including Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver and Winnipeg. The company's purchase of Data Centers Canada Inc. supports its strategy of offering business and enterprise customers complementary services.
Vaughan, Ontario-based Data Centers Canada Inc. offers a range of data center solutions. Its services include disaster recovery and colocation, and the company caters to a broad customer base including private businesses, technology service providers, and the public sector. It operates a 16,000 square foot data center which is SSAE 16 certified.
“Acquiring Data Centers Canada will support our initiative to offer complementary services,” explained TeraGo Networks Inc.'s President and Chief Executive Officer Bryan Boyd. “This is a positive step toward our continued growth and will enable us to provide services that our customers require to do business.”
