Business Website Hosting and Server Colocation Services Provider Networx Deploys R1Soft

December 15, 2008
December 15, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Business website hosting and server colocation services provider Networx has deployed R1Soft as a Continuous Data Protection (CDP) solution it was reported recently. R1Soft’s CDP will be offered to the company’s corporate and colocation clients as a “value-added service”.

R1Soft’s CDP uses minimal resources to provide “near-continuous backups” with zero interruptions. Its “Bare-Metal Restore” feature offers Networx customers disaster recovery options that eliminate the need to re-partition hard drives when restoring a system. The solution enables colocation clients to back up servers as “often as they choose”.

Networx’ corporate clients will be able to add the backup service to their existing Internet connection, while the company’s business Internet access customers can also utilize the solution as an add-on component.

“We’ve already seen the benefit internally by implementing R1Soft CDP as an in-house solution. It’s powerful, reliable and gives us an advantage over our competitors by allowing us to give our end users the tools to back up and restore their own files, not to mention the number of solutions we can provide for our corporate clients,” explained Networx’ Director of Internet Technology, James Johnson.

Networx provides custom solutions for colocation customers and hosts colocation servers in its own fully-redundant "ULC-3" rated, state-of-the-art data center in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The data center offers HVAC and multiple connections with 4Gbps of available bandwidth for fast, reliable routing, using HSRP and BGP-4 routing protocol.
