Buttonwood Cloud Exchange Announces Public Availability
Buttonwood Cloud Exchange (BCX) has announced the public availability of its services. Buttonwood, an Australian startup, was established in 2012. It specializes in providing hybrid cloud strategies that help its customers avoid being locked into any specific provider. BCX is a Cloud Management Broker (CMB) designed to “help build and secure the hybrid enterprise with cloud choice, financial governance and operational control”.

BCX is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product that provides “unified access and visibility of cloud services” to enable customers to manage and secure cloud applications and model and deploy multi-cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) workloads from a interface. With the BCX, organisations will be able to use and secure multiple SaaS applications. Its services are underpinned by a governance model “that offers financial transparency and control”. BCX is now available to the public.

“We are passionate about simplifying cloud and giving organisations the freedom of informed choice to realise the true benefits of hybrid cloud without unnecessary cost or complexity,” explained Buttonwood’s Managing Director, Allan King. “The Buttonwood Cloud Exchange is a true management broker. It integrates seamlessly with an organisation’s existing technology investments to help secure consumption and simplify management of public and private cloud services. We worked with professional and financial services organisations, federal departments and corporate entities to develop our offering through their eyes.”
