Canadian provider
ServerMania has announced the launch of managed services for cloud and dedicated servers. ServerMania, whose corporate headquarters are in Ontario, Canada, was established in 2002. The company offers a range of services which as well as cloud and dedicated servers includes traditional web hosting and hybrid servers alongside Virtual Private Servers (VPS), backup, and DDoS protection options. Its new service sees ServerMania address “routine security, configuration, and monitoring tasks” on behalf of customers, enabling them to focus more on core competencies.
ServerMania’s new range of server management services caters to businesses that do not have dedicated IT staff, but require servers to run critical applications and provide services. As well as saving customers time, the new service leverages ServerMania’s expertise and protects them from criminal exploits of vulnerabilities that are designed to access data and disrupt business operations. Two managed services options are available.
ServerMania’s ‘Empowered’ option provides “a complete server management solution” with “comprehensive security, configuration, and monitoring services”. This includes setting up servers, configuration and ongoing system monitoring. The ‘Essential’ package is designed for customers that manage their own servers, but “would like to take advantage of ServerMania’s server monitoring and issue resolution expertise”. The service provides ongoing server monitoring with “immediate response and intervention during an outage”.
“Dedicated and cloud servers are vital components of small and medium business infrastructure, but too many businesses sacrifice productivity and security by trying to go it alone,” suggested Kevin Blanchard, the CEO of ServerMania. “We know what businesses want from their servers, and our managed services packages are designed to help them meet those needs while achieving optimal security, performance, and productivity.”
