Mat Ellis, the CEO of cloud cost management company
Cloudability, has been named a finalist in the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network Awards. The Portland, Oregon-based startup company offers a range of products designed to help cloud computing users manage their spending, and has raised close to $10 million in investment.
Cloudability's solutions allow users to track changes in their cloud expenditure on a daily basis. The system provides cost and usage data on a user friendly interface and provides a series of alerts that make users aware of changes that might require additional costs. The system also notifies users if cloud accounts go over budget and it provides a spending breakdown which shows users which cloud vendors and services are costing them the most.
Alongside Mr. Ellis, Lake Kanies the CEO of Puppet Labs has also been named an Oregon Entrepreneurs Network Awards finalist. Puppet Labs employs 160 staff and provides assistance to companies running data centers. It has raised around $46 million to fund its business activities. John Marick, the CEO of Consumer Cellular was also named as a finalist.
