Ms. Claire Dixon has joined cloud infrastructure company VMware. VMware
, which has global headquarters in Palo Alto, California, United States, was established in 1998. The company is a “global leader in cloud infrastructure and business mobility”, offering a broad range of products and services including cloud infrastructure, virtualization, cloud management, data center service, and network virtualization. Ms. Dixon joins VMware as ‘Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer’.
Ms. Dixon is an industry veteran who brings a “strong track record with globally recognized brands to VMware”. Prior to her latest role she was Vice President, Global Communications at eBay, in charge of all aspects of external communications, including managing communications for PayPal when it split from eBay. Prior to eBay she was at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) in London, United Kingdom, where she was involved in communications at the company’s consumer products division. Before this she held roles at Unilever and PR agency Weber Shandwick. Her role at VMware will see her in charge of “public relations, industry analyst relations, stakeholder engagement, employee communications and thought-leadership campaigns”.
