Cloudhouse has announced the launch of Applications Anywhere. The company, which has headquarters in London, United Kingdom, offers solutions that allow “existing client/server applications to run on modern operating systems and remote deployment environments such as the cloud”.
Cloudhouse bills itself as responsible for “reinventing application management for the Microsoft platform”. Applications Anywhere is a virtualization product which helps reduce management costs by packaging Windows applications to avoid platform dependencies. Its is currently available through the Microsoft Azure Marketplace.
Applications Anywhere addresses the problems companies face when applications built with a focus on ‘on-premise deployment’ are moved to the cloud or another operating system. It allows any enterprise application to be transitioned to current Microsoft platforms.
The solution facilitates the move without the requirement for recoding, facilitating migration for “any “classic Windows desktop app, bespoke applications, or web apps tied to older releases of IE, to be deployed onto Windows 10, or Azure, or hybrid cloud”.
