Cloud-based Hosting Provider Host Virtual Increases India Data Center Capacity
Cloud-based hosting provider Host Virtual has increased the capacity of its data center in India. The move is a response to increased customer demand.

Located in Chennai, India, the company’s data center caters to a rapidly growing customer base of Indian internet users. Located on the Bay of Bengal’s Coromandel Coast, it offers Tier 1 connectivity and is underpinned by “extensive peering and connectivity agreements” that offer “low latency access within and outside of the country”.

Host Virtual’s services include Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), load balancing, BGP Anycast, and global CDN support. Its customers can deploy more than 300 operating system templates with native dual-stack IPv4 and IPv6 support. The company’s increased capacity in India comes in the wake of it increasing capacity and data connectivity in Hong Kong. The company has also been “aggressively refining” its clouds services in North America and Europe.

"As one of the emerging powers on the globe, we've seen explosive growth in India,” explained the Director of Customer Experience at Host Virtual, Kris Slevens. “We need to keep on top of our upgrades to serve the country's users in the best way possible. Our customers know that they can deploy virtual servers to our Indian cloud in moments to better handle their needs in the country as well as the rest of Asia, and that it'll just work."
