Cloud Company Rescale Completes Series B Round
Cloud company Rescale has announced it has recently completed a ‘Series B Round’ of investment. Rescale, which has headquarters in San Francisco, California, United States, bills itself as “the leading turnkey platform for running simulations on cloud HPC”. The company specializes in cloud-based enterprise ‘big compute’ offerings. It caters to its customers’ needs with scalable, secure, and on-demand HPC services that range from “engineering design to scientific computing and machine learning”. The amount secured by the company was $32 million. Amongst many others, new investors in the company include Jeff Bezos and Richard Branson.

The latest round of funding Rescale has received will help the company meet increased demand for its services and establish a ‘Platform-as-a-Service’ Enterprise Innovation Platform which offers secure product development. With its latest round of investment Rescale has to date raised $52 million. With the investment, the company will develop “the next generation of security and platform enhancements”. Rescale’s latest initiatives include new hybrid cloud capabilities that allow companies to “extend on-premise high-performance computing to the cloud”.

"With support of our Series B funding, we are further investing in our hybrid multi-cloud platform in order to help executives, IT leaders, engineers, and scientists securely manage their product innovation. The hypergrowth we are seeing demonstrates a strong commitment from our enterprise customers and highlights our leading platform solutions for big compute."
