Cloud computing and and data center Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) company
Expedient has announced the expansion of its Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS) offerings. Expedient has global headquarters in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States alongside operations across the country. Established in 2001, the company’s HIPAA, SOC, and PCI DSS-compliant services also extend to managed data storage, colocation, managed servers, and virtualization. Its solutions “enable clients to focus on strategic business innovation”. Expedient’s expanded DRaaS offerings now run on VMware vCloud.
Expedient’s move is a response to increasing market interest for cloud-based disaster recovery services. By offering VMware vCloud availability the company “gives cloud providers the ability to capitalize on this demand”. Its DRaaS offerings provide “a unified solution built to offer simple, more secure, and cost-effective onboarding, migration, and disaster recovery services for multi-tenant VMware clouds”. The solution also simplifies cloud onboarding and cloud-to-cloud migration.
"By expanding our disaster recovery solutions to now include replication powered by VMware vCloud Availability, Expedient is furthering our commitment to enabling organizations of all sizes to protect their workloads from unexpected events," explained Expedient’s Chief Innovation Officer John White. "We recognize that organizations have workloads that require varying levels of protection from disaster, and we continue to answer those needs with an evolving suite of disaster recovery solutions."
