Cloud Computing Solutions Provider Adopt Technologies Transitions Nonprofit’s Server Infrastructure to the Cloud
Cloud computing solutions provider Adopt Technologies has transitioned a nonprofit organization’s server infrastructure to the cloud. Adopt Technologies, which has headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona, United States, provides IT services to small- and medium-sized companies. Established in 2003, it bills itself as offering “expertise and commitment to high-quality IT services” and caters to a 500-strong “residential and commercial” customer base. The company partnered with the Phoenix Rescue Mission to enable its transition to the cloud.

The Phoenix Rescue Mission fights against “hunger and homelessness” in Phoenix and provides a “place of hope, healing, and new beginnings for men, women, and children” by helping them address issues of “homelessness, addiction, and trauma”. Adopt Technologies transitioned the Mission’s in-house server infrastructure to a managed cloud platform. The transition has enabled the Mission to avoid future expenses as far as server upgrades and related expenses are concerned. It also provided the Mission with enhanced disaster recovery and security support.

“I was sceptical about moving all of Phoenix Rescue Mission’s IT software and data from our in-house server infrastructure to a cloud computing environment,” explained the Mission’s Chief Financial Officer, Gary Paisley. “Our donor management and gift processing is a complex combination of software and hardware and is critical to our continued success.”

“Phoenix Rescue Mission does tremendous work with the homeless population in the Valley, and Adopt Technologies believes in the work and services that the organization delivers to its clients,” added Adopt Technologies’ Brett Helgeson. “We value the opportunity not only to partner with them but also to enable an aspect of their success by deploying worry-free IT systems, management and support of their IT needs so they can focus on the true mission of their organization.”
