Cloud giant Alibaba Cloud’s Internet of Things (IoT) Business Unit and IoT solutions company
myDevices, Inc. (MyDevices) have formed a partnership. The cloud branch of Chinese Alibaba Group (also known as ‘Aliyun’), Alibaba Cloud is one of the world’s leading could arena players offering a broad range of compute and storage services including IoT options. Its partnerships with MyDevices will see the two companies launch ‘turnkey’ IoT solutions in China.
MyDevices, which has headquarters in Burbank, California, United States, was established in 2013. The company “empowers engineers and enterprises to quickly design, prototype, and commercialize IoT solutions”. Its proprietary ‘Cayenne’ solution is an IoT Solution Builder/IoT Ready Program that offers a “catalog of drag and drop IoT devices”. MyDevices also offers ‘IoT in a Box’ - a suite of IoT solutions “for a variety of vertical markets”. As part of the partnership myDevices will offer IoT in a Box solutions to the Chinese market through Alibaba Cloud’s extensive reseller network.
