Cloud giant
Microsoft has added three new cloud providers to its network of resellers - Ingram Micro, Insight and SoftwareONE. The company, which has headquarters in Redmond, Washington, United States, has made the move as a response to increased demand for its cloud services, particularly hybrid cloud solutions, Microsoft Azure, Office 365 and Dynamics CRM Online.
“In support of our WW Channel Strategy for cloud services, today we are announcing our intention to appoint three additional Cloud Services Resellers (CSR) with proven, global track records in driving Microsoft cloud revenue across the public, private and hybrid cloud,” suggested The Director of Partner Business and Development at Microsoft, Phil Goldie on the msdn.com blog.
Ingram Micro has headquarters in Santa Ana, California, USA. The company specializes in electronics and information technology distribution. It is recognized as the largest distributor of wholesale technology products globally. Insight has corporate headquarters in Tempe, Arizona, USA, but has a presence across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, EMEA and across Europe. It caters to business, government, education and healthcare customers by providing hardware, software, and cloud solutions. SoftwareONE, which was established in 1985, has global headquarters in Stans, Switzerland. The company bills itself as “redefining the technology solutions landscape” and being “the thought leaders in Software Portfolio Management (SPM)”.
The companies will join existing “CSRs”, Dicker Data and rhipe, in addressing demand for solutions that are “complemented by hosted cloud options to address specific use cases”. Each company was chosen after an “exhaustive three month RFI selection process” which looked each company’s “unique value proposition in growing the cloud market in Australia”.
