Cloud Giant Microsoft Selects CRM Provider Nimble for ‘Microsoft’s Seattle Accelerator’
Cloud giant Microsoft has selected Nimble for ‘Microsoft’s Seattle Accelerator’. With headquarters in Redmond, Washington, United States, Microsoft is heavily involved in the cloud. Its Azure platform competes with the likes of Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services (AWS) for a share of the cloud market, while its Office 365 solution is the cloud extension of its ubiquitous Microsoft Office collaboration and communication suite. Nimble is a provider of a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution designed for Office 365.

Award-winning Nimble has headquarters in Santa Monica, California, United States. The company bills its solution as “the social sales and marketing CRM for individuals and teams”. Established by one of the co-founders of CRM software GoldMine, it “combines the strengths of traditional CRM, classic contact management, social media, sales intelligence and marketing automation” to facilitate CRM across email, social networks such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, and solutions like G Suite, Outlook, Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, Hootsuite, iOS and Android. Nimble is “the Simple CRM for Office 365” offering a “unified social sales and marketing CRM for individuals and small teams”. As part of Microsoft’s Seattle Accelerator Nimble will receive support from Microsoft in a number of areas.

Microsoft’s Seattle Accelerator program is designed to assist startups the cloud giant wants to help scale. It supports new technology initiatives in a number of areas. Particularly, it helps early-stage startups by providing education and identifying product market fit. It also offers “unprecedented access to top Microsoft partners and customers, technical knowledge, premier engineering, go-to-market and co-sales” alongside development of co-marketing materials and promotions. The program also offers incentives for channel partners that sell Nimble to Microsoft cloud services customers.

“Joining Microsoft’s Seattle Accelerator program is an important step in our far-reaching collaboration with Microsoft’s product teams, business teams and its global reseller partners,” explained Jon Ferrara, the CEO of Nimble. “Virtually every Office 365 customer needs a simple social sales and marketing CRM to effectively engage with customers by centralizing and sharing customer knowledge and social insights across the organization. As our shared customers grow and their needs become more complex, Nimble’s integrations with Microsoft’s cloud-based products will help companies scale.”
