Cloud Host SysGroup Acquires Managed Connectivity Provider HNS
Award-winning cloud host SysGroup has acquired managed connectivity and colocation provider Hub Network Services (HNS). SysGroup has headquarters in Liverpool, United Kingdom, and a presence in London, Coventry, and Telford. Established in 2006, the company specializes in a broad range of areas including PCI DSS hosting, GDPR hosting, VMware-based private clouds, Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS), Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), and dedicated servers. SysGroup acquired HNS for the sum of £1.45 million ($1.84 million).

Established in 1997, HNS has headquarters in Bristol, United Kingdom. The company designs and builds “bespoke Wide Area Networks” for its customers, and also offers colocation, cloud computing, and other data center solutions. The company has customers throughout the United Kingdom, in New York, United States, and Amsterdam, Netherlands. It operates Tier 3 and 4 facilities and an MPLS-enabled network that connects its locations. It also boasts Cisco-certified support staff that are based in the United Kingdom. HNS represents SysGroup’s second acquisition to date this year and underscores a growth strategy which aims to make SysGroup the “leading provider of managed IT services to business in the UK”.

“I am thrilled to have made our second acquisition of the year and look forward to working with the HNS team in due course,” the CEO of SysGroup, Adam Binks told Computer Weekly. “The acquisition of HNS further complements our existing managed services, enabling us to offer our customer base an even wider range of enterprise-grade managed connectivity services alongside our existing managed IT services portfolio,” he added.
