US Signal has added ‘Remote Monitoring and Management’ (RMM) to its managed services. US Signal, which has headquarters in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA, is a network leader with over 14,000 miles of lit fiber and metro rings in 23 strategic markets. The company owns and operates eight data centers which offer HIPAA and PCI Compliant Cloud and Network-based solutions. Its infrastructure leverages Cisco Systems solutions and is one of the largest networks in the United States’ Midwest. Alongside cloud offerings, the company’s services extend to colocation, disaster recovery, and security. Its inclusion of RMM increases the reliability of its customer’s IT operations.
RMM manages and monitors servers and endpoints at many levels, including at the Operating System (OS) level, to provide protection against infrastructure failure. It combines real-time server monitoring and offers services like patch and anti-virus management. By maintaining their infrastructures, US Signal’s customers can minimize failure, protect productivity, increase savings on support costs and focus on core competencies.
“We have seen more and more companies that don’t have the time to focus on these services in-house,” explained US Signal’s Product Development Manager, Derrin Rummelt. “Many companies risk compliance issues if their servers and security endpoints are not consistently updated, supported or maintained according to the requirements set in place. Without managed services, organizations run the risk of increased security vulnerability, downtime by not keeping up on patching, and other critical situations.”
