Savvis has announced the launch of its new Cloud Data Center - a virtual data center utilizing VMware vCloud Director® 5.1 and Cisco’s Unified Data Center technologies. Savvis, a CenturyLink subsidiary, introduced the center to "offer businesses a simplified platform for complex hybrid cloud solutions".
Savvis offers a range of services which include cloud, colocation and managed hosting through data centers located in North America, Europe and Asia. The company is a pioneer in the area of Virtual Private Data Centers. Its new Cloud Data Center allows users to establish software-based data center services that facilitate security, computing power, storage capability and network connectivity.
