Cloud Operating System Provider CloudLinux Acquires Automated Website Malware Protection Provider Revisium
Cloud operating system provider CloudLinux has acquired automated website malware protection provider Revisium. CloudLinux has headquarters in Arcadia, California, United States. The company provides a version of Linux that is favoured within the hosting industry (particularly among those providing shared hosting) because of the stability and security it offers. More than 80,000 installations have been completed. CloudLinux acquired Revisium earlier this month but financial aspects of the deal have not been released.

Established in 2008, Revisium offers “a full range of website security services”. The company’s services remove malware from websites and correct errors to reduce the risk of malicious software infecting websites. Revisium protects websites from viruses and cyberattacks and helps website owners “overcome negative consequences of website hacking or infection”. CloudLinux intends to maintain the Revisium brand and promote its products.

Imunify360 – CloudLinux’s “automated security solution, powered by AI and Proactive Defense” – will shortly incorporate Revisium’s automated malware cleanup technology. Revisium will become Imunify360’s main website malware scanning engine and enhance its ability to scan for threats. It will work alongside Imunify360 Proactive Defense, which addresses zero-day malware threats, and be available to Imunify360 users without additional cost.
