has acquired cloud services provider Xtium, Inc. (Xtium). Evolve IP, which has headquarters in Wayne, Pennsylvania, United States, offers a range of services including cloud computing and cloud communications services alongside virtual data center services, disaster recovery, virtual desktops and IP phone systems. The company caters to businesses in “virtually every industry” including healthcare, legal, insurance, banking, technology, and travel. Its acquisition of Xtium is part of the company’s expansion strategy and designed to strengthen its ability to cater to the healthcare industry.
Xtium, Inc., which has headquarters in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, United States, was established in 2007. The company provides “secure cloud-based managed services, managed hosting solutions, disaster recovery services, and offsite data backups”. These services extend to Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) and managed cloud hosting. It offers HIPAA-compliant services and has acquired HITRUST certification. As a result, its services are of particularly attractive to the healthcare industry.
