OneNeck® IT Services has launched a new Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) offering. The new offering was first launched in 2011 and offers customers round-the-clock access to company data and resources through almost any device.
OneNeck was named “Innovator of the Year” for its DaaS solution at the 2011 Arizona Governor’s "Celebration of Innovation" event which was co-sponsored by the Arizona Technology Council. The solution makes the desktop experience accessible through a range of devices including tablets, laptops, notebooks, and smartphones. This means that users can access the same applications, files and settings as accessible through their desktop computers. As desktops are provisioned and managed by OneNeck, customers' employees can work from any location.
"Conceptually, the desktop workload is moved from the local computing device, such as the desktop PC, and placed in OneNeck’s cloud infrastructure, thus keeping the user data and profiles, as well as computing load, secure in OneNeck’s environment," explained Hunter Bennett, OneNeck's Vice President. "OneNeck’s DaaS offering has the potential to transform how businesses operate," added OneNeck’s Chief Executive Officer, Chuck Vermillion. "Employees are no longer chained to their desks to perform work functions.
