Aquilent has enhanced its cloud managed services. The company, a mobile, web, cloud and portal provider, focuses on providing the "next generation of technology" for the United States' federal government with solutions that "significantly enhance citizen engagement". Based in Laurel, Maryland, the company's enhanced managed services now offer a "pay-as-you-go" approach and an improved approach to customers purchasing cloud managed services - its services are now also available through GSA Schedule 70, a listing of 5000 companies offering innovative technology products and services.
Aquilent's new approach will enable customers to pass daily management of their cloud infrastructures to Aquilent's responsibility, allowing them to focus on core competencies and issues that are more important to their business, such as managing Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The changes also mean companies are able to establish managed services that meet their exact requirements and pay a "predictable, fixed price per managed cloud server" with services that can scale when required.
Aquilent's enhanced services can be purchased through the DOI Foundation Cloud, CIO-SP3, its GSA BPA, and now, as suggested earlier, GSA Schedule 70. The company's three packages start with basic managed services that come in at less than $100 per virtual machine.
“As cloud adoption increases, Aquilent’s managed services model—particularly with our new flexible procurement option—lets customers save money, be more agile, and scale their services as their business needs change, just as they scale their cloud environment,” explained Aquilent’s Cloud Solutions Group's Director, Mike O’Brien. “We understand that customers require flexibility; by adding this model to our cloud portfolio, we’re moving to a future state of managed cloud services.”
