Verizon Enterprise Solutions has added George Fischer to its executive team. Mr. Fischer joins the company as Senior Vice President of Global Sales and will head its Global Enterprise Sales Organization. He will be responsible for gaining more customers and generating more revenue through the company's North American, Asia-Pacific, Latin American and European, Middle Eastern and African distribution channels. He will manage a sales team of around 2000 in more than 80 countries.
Verizon, which has headquarters in New Jersey, USA, offers a wide range of technology-based consumer services, including Verizon Cloud, a service that provides users with secure cloud storage where they can sync a range of devices, including mobile devices such as phones and tablets. Mr. Fischer joins the company after 20 years in executive and senior positions within the industry. Prior to joining Verizon he was Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Service at CA Technologies. At CA Mr. Fischer played an important part in developing the company's customer engagement strategies and managing new product growth. Other positions he held were at Memorex Telex, NCR and database startup Reltech. He has a degree from Syracuse University in the area of Information Systems and Management
