Onix Networking Corporation (Onix) and enterprise search company Lucidworks have formed a partnership. A leading cloud solutions provider, Onix has headquarters in Lakewood, Ohio, United States. Established in 1992, the company offers strategic planning and deployment in a range of areas. It leverage technologies like Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to provide its services and offers specialist solutions that include “infrastructure, collaboration, devices, enterprise search and geospatial technology”. Together Onix and Lucidworks will work on a new ‘Platform-as-a-Service’ (PaaS) search tool.
Lucidworks, which has headquarters in San Francisco, California, United States, was established in 2007. The company offers a broad suite of services including Lucene, Solr, Mahout and Nutch options alongside Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, ‘Big Data’ solutions and enterprise search. It bills itself as “shaping the future of digital experiences” and helps companies “transform business and user engagement.'' Onix was Lucidworks' first Platinum Partner and its ‘Partner of the Year’ in 2018. The new tool the two companies will offer will be known as "FusionReady by Onix".
FusionReady by Onix is hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), a platform noted for its Artificial Intelligence (AI) prowess. It can be used by “any organization with the need for a hosted search environment” and is especially useful for “companies seeking to increase the accuracy of their on-page internet site searches”. The solution will be seen first at the ACTIVATE conference in Washington in September.
"FusionReady addresses the need for a better search solution for organizations that don't have the bandwidth or knowledge to tackle their own implementation," explained Onix’s President and CEO, Tim Needles. "For those who have used Lucidworks' traditional Fusion product, we're now able to offer this same AI-based search technology hosted seamlessly with Google Cloud Platform, with the added benefit of having the Onix team there to get clients up and running every step of the way."
