Planet Technologies has been selected the "2015 Microsoft State and Local Government Cloud Partner of the Year". The company, whose headquarters are in Germantown, Maryland, USA, offers a range of cloud and datacenter services alongside strategic business consulting. It offers a free service to US Public Sector customers that helps them align "organizational goals with what (they) own from Microsoft Corporation". Its recent selection underpins its dominance in providing Microsoft services to government agencies.
News of the award was announced at the Microsoft Public Sector Industry Solutions University (ISU) conference held in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. It comes in the wake of the company being made 2015 Microsoft Windows Partner of Year at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference. In the last 10 years the company has been awarded numerous Microsoft awards, including five Microsoft State and Local Government Partner of the Year awards, six Microsoft Federal Partner of the Year awards, and five Microsoft Windows Partner of the Year awards.
