September 13, 2007 (HOSTSEARCH.COM) ColdFusion web hosting provider CFDynamics has announced it will host Jumpstarts Read for the Record Event Finder/Builder site. The site allows participants to find reading events being held in their communities as part of record-breaking attempt to encourage hundreds of thousands of children and adults to read the same book, The Story of Ferdinand, on the same day, September 20, 2007.
The campaign will create the largest shared reading experience ever by breaking the record set on a single day in August 2006, when 150,000 people read the same book across the country as part of Jumpstarts inaugural Read for the Record campaign.
We are pleased to be hosting the Event Finder/Builder on www.readfortherecord.org and wholeheartedly support Jumpstarts mission of early childhood education and literacy, explained CFDynamics Vice President of Customer Relations, Jason Egan.
The goal of Jumpstarts campaign is to raise public awareness about the early education gap that exists between income levels and raise funds for programs that serve preschool children from more than 60 low-income communities across 20 US states. Last years event raised more than $500,000 to support the organizations efforts.
Anyone interested in participating on September 20, 2007 can go online to host or find a reading event. The number of hits on our website is just skyrocketing, said Rob Zeaske, Jumpstarts Senior Vice President of External Affairs.
