Collaboration Software Provider Open-Xchange Improves Usability for PCs, Laptops, Tablets and Smartphones
Collaboration software provider Open-Xchange has improved usability for PCs, laptops, tablets and smartphones.

Established in 2005, Open-Xchange has headquarters in Nuremberg, Germany and offices in San Jose, California and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The company offers web-based communication, collaboration and office productivity software which integrates email, documents, scheduling and social media. The OX App Suite is cloud-based and delivered through cloud and hosting providers.

The company’s OX App Suite now offers a host of improvements including a responsive design which offers “touchor” keyboard-optimized functionality. Other improvements include enhanced document viewing and swipe gesture support on touch-screen mobile devices. In addition, Open-Xchange now offers improved document attachment and file saving/attaching through mobile devices, as well as keyboard shortcut support for disabled users. Back-end support for OX App Suite has also been extended to Debian GNU/Linux 7 and Java 7 in addition to support for Exchange Active Sync Protocol 12.1, Android 4 and Windows Mobile 7.

“With the rise of mobile devices our digital lives have become increasingly complex, spanning multiple devices and applications,” explained Open-Xchange CEO Rafael Laguna. “As a result, features originally designed to save time, now cost time as we constantly navigate from one machine to the next and swap between interfaces. OX App Suite cuts back complexity by storing all your relevant data in a central location and enables users to access and edit them through a unified interface.”
