Colocation and managed cloud solutions company Brightsolid and cloud provider RingCentral UK have formed a partnership. Brightsolid, which has headquarters in Dundee, Scotland, United Kingdom, also has a presence the key Scottish cities of Edinburgh and Aberdeen. Established in 1995, it is “Scotland’s only dedicated and complete colocation and managed cloud solutions company”. Brightsolid specializes in cloud offerings, Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), and Virtual Private Servers (VPS). The company also has cyber security and data analytics offerings. Brightsolid’s partnership with RingCentral will see the companies offer cloud communications solutions to customers in Scotland.

RingCentral UK has headquarters in Maidenhead, Surrey, United Kingdom. The company is a subsidiary of RingCentral, Inc. (RingCentral). Established in 2003, RingCentral has headquarters in Centennial, Colorado, United States and a presence in Belmont, California, United States. It specializes in cloud-based enterprise communications and collaboration solutions such as virtual PBX and VOIP that allow teams and customers to communicate through “voice, video, team messaging, collaboration, SMS, conferencing, online meetings, contact center, and fax”. RingCentral’s open platform integrates with a number of key business solutions including Microsoft Office 365, Google G Suite, and Salesforce. The company was in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Unified Communications-as-a-Service Worldwide for three consecutive years. The partnership will see Brightsolid offer RingCentral’s solutions as part of it suite of services.

“RingCentral has a strong product portfolio and has made a significant splash in the unified communications as a service (UCaaS) market in a short period of time,” suggested Brightsolid’s CEO Elaine Maddison in a statement. “As our customers adopt cloud solutions that allow them to innovate, they are recognising how they collaborate and communicate is as important to the success of their digital strategies as their IT infrastructure”.
