The certification received from the audit represents an internationally recognized auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and requires investigation by a major public accounting and auditing firm who provides an independent report on ColoServes business processes. An SAS 70 Type I report shows whether a companys description of controls over information technology and hosting operations fulfill their specified objectives control objectives.
ColoServe obtained the SAS 70 report to demonstrate to regulated and security conscious companies that we have internal controls and procedures related to our data center operations and services. We selected an auditor that is one of the worlds six globally recognized accounting firms to report on our operations according to the internationally recognized SAS 70 standard, suggested the President of ColoServe, Mr. John Keagy.
