Colocation and Managed Services Provider ColoHouse Announces Launch of DDoS Protection Services
Colocation and managed services provider ColoHouse has announced the launch of ‘Scrubbing-as-a-Service’. ColoHouse, which has headquarters in Miami, Florida, United States, was established in 2007. Alongside colocation and managed services the company offers a full range of data center services, dedicated servers and cloud hosting options. It acquired Dutch hosting and data services company Netrouting in 2018. ColoHouse’s ‘Scrubbing-as-a-Service’ options enhance business continuity by safeguarding users from Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks.

DDoS attacks increasingly impact businesses of all sizes and prove extremely disruptive. The Scrubbing as a Service model cleans up traffic “in a matter of seconds”. Scrubbing-as-a-Service identifies an attack and reroutes it to a mitigation platform. It then ‘cleans’ the data that arrives at a network, passing it through a series of global networks to “ensure only clean data is transferred”. The solution also offers automated filtering, real-time monitoring and reporting.

“DDoS attacks are alive and well in 2019. We have customers who are being proactive and are already live on our services,” explained ColoHouse’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Savvas Bout. “Some of these attacks are short lived, only lasting a few seconds, making them harder to identify if it was a system error or a DDoS attack. We hope both prospects and customers alike are protecting their businesses from any interruptions that could lead to costly repercussions and damaging their credibility,” he added.
