Switch Communications, Inc. (Switch – formerly known as ‘Firespotter Labs’) has integrated cloud-based business phone services with Microsoft Office 365. The company specializes in offering solutions for unified communications, collaboration and work productivity tools. Its staff members include individuals that worked on Google Voice and Yahoo! Voice. Established in 2000, it has headquarters in San Francisco, California, USA. Switch’s move means companies with headquarter sin the United States can now utilize its solutions “on all platforms”.
Known as “Switch for Office 365”, Switch’s new offering is a response to the current trend towards cloud adoption. It is “designed to accelerate employee productivity” by offering integration with Microsoft solutions such as Outlook mail, Outlook calendar and LinkedIn. From this point forward, Office 365 users can log into Switch using their Microsoft user names and passwords. Their Outlook contacts will also be “instantly synced” with Switch as will calendar items and email. The solution is available at only $15 per month per account.
