Colocation Provider MigSolv Announces Cloud Option for Start-ups/SMEs
Colocation provider MigSolv has announced the launch of a low-cost cloud option for start-ups and SMEs. The company, which has headquarters in Norwich, United Kingdom, was established in 2002. It initially specialized in migration and data center consulting services and acquired a data center in 2011. MigSolv uses the data center facility to provide colocation services. Its new option arrives on the heels of winning a lucrative contract with cloud computing and hosting services provider Ormuco.

MigSolv’s new option represents a “suite of cloud computing solutions” offered through Ormurco’s “Connected Cloud” platform. MigSolv’s 6,000 meter-squared data center is located in Norwich and caters to international customers and businesses of a range of sizes across the United Kingdom. The center has won environmental awards from the European Union (EU Green Light and EU Code of Conduct).

“Cloud computing delivered locally is a boon for the new business ventures and SMEs as many don’t want to commit to big upfront IT investments,” explained MigSolv’s CEO, Alex Rabbetts.”Anyone starting out or just looking to reduce their technology costs can now contact us to switch on an ‘instance’ of a server or storage in a matter of seconds. This ‘instance’ can be used for hosting a website, applications, data processing and backup or any other computing need and costs start from 1 pence (1.49 cents) per hour on a pay-as-you-go basis.”
