Seattle-based colocation services provider
Bit Refinery has selected datacenter colocation company
Digital Fortress for Hadoop hosting services.
Established in 1994, Digital Fortress' datacenter colocation options are based in Seattle, Washington. The company caters to around 1,500 customers. The Hadoop architecture safeguards a company's data by replicating it to other "nodes", and Digital Fortress will provide Hadoop hosting services through its Seattle data center.
"Hadoop Hosting will provide Bit Refinery's customers with an affordable way to get up and running with this new technology," explained Digital Fortress' CEO, Paul Gerrard. "With Digital Fortress as its colocation partner, customers are assured the highest standard of uptime and full redundancy backed by a dedicated technical staff on-site 24x7x365, among other value-add services."
BitRefinery offers a range of services out of Denver, Colorado including fully dedicated servers, private high-speed network and full console control. The company also offers VMwareCloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) options. Its scalable infrastructure offers "near real time" replication alongside an affordable DR/BC service. Bit Refinery's new dedicated service offers companies a low-cost solution that stores huge amounts of data.
"We selected Digital Fortress as our colocation partner for our newly launched service because the company was able to support our need for mission-critical infrastructure," added Bit Refinery's Managing Partner, Brandon Hieb. "In this environment we can support our customers need to store and analyze vast amounts of data while ensuring their data is replicated and secure."
