Datacenter.com has announced that it has achieved key industry standards. Datacenter.com is noted for having paid more than $500,000 for a domain name that supports its brand. With headquarters in Amsterdam, Netherlands, the company was established in 2015. It provides a range of services including Data Center-as-a-Service (DCaaS) options offered through its Amsterdam-based ISO 14001:2015-accredited ‘AMS1’ carrier-neutral data center – which is powered by renewable energy and also located in the Dutch capital. Datacenter.com has achieved Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (Security) (PCI DSS) and International Standard on Assurance Engagements (Services Outsourcing) (ISAE) standards compliance.
PCI DSS 3.2 and ISAE3402 are key standards for any company involved in web hosting. Both require rigorous third-party audits to demonstrate compliance. PCI DSS (3.2) applies to companies such as ecommerce providers who hold customers’ credit card and other details. It provides policies and procedures to ensure the data of those using Datacenter.com’s data center environment is fully protected. ISAE3402 provides internationally acknowledged standards for companies involved in outsourcing. It addresses issues such as risk management and the measures a company must take to protect customers from fraud. By achieving ISAE3402 certification Datacenter.com’s customers can be assured their sensitive data is “protected properly and adheres to stringent privacy guidelines”.
