Communications and Data Solutions Provider ConvergeOne Acquires IT Consulting Company SIGMAnet
Communications and data solutions provider ConvergeOne has acquired IT consulting company SIGMAnet. ConvergeOne, which is part of the Clearlake Capital Group, has headquarters in Eagan, Minnesota, United States. Established in 2005, the company specializes in providing “custom information, communications and data technology solutions and services for any environment, regardless of existing vendors or systems”. Its products and services extend to a range of managed services. It caters to a global customer base which includes companies like Avaya, Cisco, IBM, Interactive Intelligence, and Microsoft, and it has 26 offices across the United States where it employs around 1,200 employees. The cost of the deal has not been announced.

SIGMAnet, which has headquarters in Ontario, California, United States, is a Cisco Gold Certified Partner. Catering to “1,000 small, medium, and large commercial, and education customers nationwide and internationally”, the company is one of California’s largest IT consulting, solutions, and managed services companies. It has a presence in Orange County, Los Angeles, Inland Empire, San Diego, and San Jose where it employees 250 people. Its partner network includes companies like Cisco, EMC, VMware, Dell, HP, IBM, and Microsoft.

ConvergeOne has fully absorbed SIGMAnet, which will now be called “SIGMAnet, a ConvergeOne Company”. The acquisition strengthens ConvergeOne’s broadest portfolio leadership. With the move Neil Wada, SIGMAnet’s President and COO, has become the new organization’s Vice President for the Southwest Region.

McKenna Jr. “We share SIGMAnet’s focus and commitment to deliver outcomes-based solutions for our customers. They have additional capabilities in the Cisco and EMC platforms, as well as cloud computing, security and the education vertical. This acquisition enables us to increase our presence in the western United States and advance our leadership position as a single-source provider of multivendor technologies, support, and services.”
