Communications Infrastructure Solutions Provider Zayo Selected for Wavelength Connectivity Services
Communications infrastructure solutions provider Zayo Group Holdings, Inc. (Zayo) has been selected by a “global webscale cloud provider” to provide wavelength connectivity services. Zayo, which has headquarters in Boulder, Colorado, United States, was established in 2007. Alongside Wavelengths (DWDM) options, the company offers a wide range of services including cloud infrastructure, mobile infrastructure, dark fiber and data center and colocation services. Its latest solution will provide high-capacity connectivity for a data center located on the west coast of the United States and another located more centrally.

With significant growth in the global public cloud market providers are managing demand for services by expanding and securing infrastructures. Part of this process is the utilization of redundant fiber between data centers. Zayo’s solution provides its customer with “triversity between the data centers, with up to 2TB of capacity”. The company was selected to provide the service because it is able to establish a separate, high-capacity route to complement its customer’s primary and secondary networks.

“We were able to secure this contract because of our existing fiber infrastructure, lit fiber-based footprint and ability to mobilize to complete the project very quickly,” explained Zayo’s President and COO, Andrew Crouch. “Earning this business is an important vote of confidence from a long-standing customer.”
