Compulogic Introduce New GPRS Web Server

July 12, 2005
July 12, 2005 - (HOSTSEARCH.COM) - Compulogic have announced the release of a new GPRS web server product which enables simple implementation of web based remote access for systems and equipment in mobile or remote locations via GSM cellular networks.

Part of the PicoServ family of miniature web server, network, and SMS remote access products, the PicoServ GPRS web server can provide a simple way to “web enable” remote systems and equipment by providing an Internet connection over a GSM cellular network.

PicoServ is a low cost, low power small size module which takes care of all network interfacing and communications protocols, web page and file storage and provides a variety of simple interfaces to the host system or equipment. Dynamic web pages are supported through a simple HTML interface, enabling real time data to be both displayed and updated from a standard web browser.

The module also features an integrated 10baseT Ethernet interface for connection to a local LAN in addition to the wide area GPRS network interface.

A number of stacking, intelligent interface modules are also available which provide “no development” parallel, serial, analogue, and digital I/O interfaces between the server module and the outside world.

Measuring only 50mm x 70mm (2” x 2.75”) the PicoServ GPRS web server is available as an OEM module or can be used as a stand-alone system when housed in an optional tough aluminium enclosure.
