Computer and network security specialist GlobalSign
has announced the launch of a new ‘Internet of Things (IoT) Developer Portal’. GlobalSign, which has global headquarters in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, United States, was established in 1996. The company specializes in a range of areas including online Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and identity solutions, Internet security, digital certificate deployments, and identity and access management. The company prides itself on “enabling businesses, large enterprises, cloud service providers and IoT innovators around the world to secure online communications” by managing “millions of verified digital identities”. GlobalSign’s IoT Developer Portal improves productivity by offering IoT developers a full suite of integration tools.
The portal helps developers establish “separate and private extranet areas for individual organizations” and helps them maintain the privacy of their projects. The solution was launched by ‘GlobalSign IoT Solutions Group’ and provides tools that help integrate IoT devices with developers’ Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)-based identities. Other tools include Software Development Kits (SDKs), API integration documentation and guides, client libraries and other “utilities”.
“Our IoT developer portal is a key component of our developer program,” explained GlobalSign’s Director of Product Management, IoT, Nisarg Desai. “It improves integration productivity by providing a centralized locale where developers can access all the tools they need to successfully integrate Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)-based device identity as part of their IoT security component. We put everything in one place, so serious developers don’t have to chase what they’re looking for, and the response has been phenomenal.”Do you know of any other companies helping IoT developers?
