Content Delivery Company Varnish Software Announces Launch of Varnish Plus Cloud
Content delivery company Varnish Software Group (Varnish Software) has announced the launch of its Varnish Plus Cloud. Varnish Software, which has headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden and offices in London, New York, Los Angeles, Oslo and Paris, was established in 2010. The company caters to around 2.2 million websites globally including major names like Vimeo and the New York Times. Varnish Software’s solutions (including Varnish Plus and Varnish API Engine) help its customers to “deliver their web content and IoT information reliably and fast at any scale”.

Varnish Plus Cloud is underpinned by the Open Source (OS) Varnish Cache and designed to optimize the running of Varnish Plus installations. It provides a “full version of the Varnish Plus software suite that can be accessed via the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketplace. Developed with small to medium-sized companies in mind, the solution offers scalable internet operations available on an hourly basis. It also helps companies avoid the need to acquire expensive hardware. Varnish Plus Cloud costs start at $0.20 (on top of AWS infrastructure usage fees) with annual subscriptions receiving a 20% discount.

"By making Varnish Plus available via the AWS Marketplace, Varnish Software is extending the reach of its core product to more organizations, in more places at a more flexible price point," said Per Buer, founder and CTO of Varnish Software. "We look forward to working with our AWS customers as they leverage Varnish Plus Cloud to solve their Internet operations challenges."
