Continuous Data Protection Company R1Soft Conducts Case Study of Server Backup Company BackupRun's Leverage of SBM
Continuous data protection company R1Soft has conducted a case study of server backup company BackupRun's leverage of its Server Backup Manager (SBM) solutions. The company, which has headquarters in Houston, Texas, specializes in fast and scalable backup software solutions for "Windows and Linux platforms in private and public clouds". Its Server Backup Manager (SBM) solution has been utilized by around 1,800 web hosting providers to protect nearly 250,000 servers globally.

SBM is an "all-inclusive solution" that offers a pay-as-you-use pricing without hidden costs. It requires no modules, plug-ins or add-ons to operate, and performs backups as often as every 15 minutes.

BackupRun, a "daily deal website with more than 1,000,000 customers", uses HP servers to offer an "affordable and reliable solution for companies and businesses that need data protection". BackupRun has been leveraging SBM to deliver Backup-as-a-Service options to customers since 2012 and has used its own software and servers on top of SBM.

“We set out to develop a complete backup-as-a-service offering for our customers, and we haven’t looked back since,” explained BackupRun's Business Development Manager, Edward Alexandru. “R1Soft is our base – and we’ve constructed our entire solution around it. SBM is straightforward and easy to use – the technology isn’t overly complicated. It allows us to be more efficient and to speed up and enhance our customer service. All of that is very important to our business.”

R1Soft's case study is available at the company's website.
